Another year has gone by so quickly! I hope that you have enjoyed your time with us here at Synergy Health & Fitness and will continue to achieve your health and fitness goals into the New Year! We have had some good times this year holding various gym challenges such as the push-up challenge, the Results HQ crowd competing in the Results HQ games (Sarah vs Straddy’s team) and helping many members achieve awesome health and fitness results!

Some of our gym members who have achieved amazing results are listed below. These gym members have transformed their bodies by increasing their fitness levels, reducing their body fat% and have gained extra confidence in doing so!

Donna has completed two rounds of LeanFit and has lost approximately 30kgs!

Shilpee Singh

Shilpee has jumped on board with our Results HQ programme and has reduced her body fat% by 5.5% in 7 weeks.

Ron rowed an incredible 76,000km in 1 month for our July rowing gym challenge!

These are a sample of the many success stories this year at the club, congratulations to everyone who had some success, for many of you it may just be the fact that you’ve managed to keep regular exercise up through many of the challenges that pop in in any year and we hope the many challenges and events have been helpful along the way.

Swimming News

While this may not apply to you all we feel now is a great time to remind you of a few personal and family safety tips for being in and around our beautiful beaches and rivers this summer.

While we have run through water safety tips in the last lesson of our swim school for the term, here are a few friendly reminders:

  • If you are in trouble, raise your hand straight up in the air to signal for help
  • If you get caught in a rip, don’t fight it, either try to swim sideways and raise your hand for help
  • Don’t enter the water if you do not feel confident with the conditions
  • Always enter feet first into rivers to check for depth

Keep safe and enjoy the water this summer.

Splash n Dash (Fun Swim & Run events)
Synergy is a sponsor of this Summer Series, its great fun, affordable to enter ($15 for Synergy Members – Synergy Swim School Free) The Splash and Dash is either an ocean swim at Oriental beach or a swim then a run around the parade.
We are working to involve our Swim School in ocean swimming as it’s a fantastic life skill to have, our plan is to get a team to attend every 2nd Wednesday and run some training sessions in the new year for this. Adult members if you’re keen to get involved let us know and we’ll tee things up for you.

Office & Trainer Hours over Christmas

From the 22nd December 2016 – 9th January 2017 the Managers and Personal Trainers will be taking a well earned break, so if there are any messages or membership account inquiries please contact them prior to the 22nd December otherwise they will be attended to on their return.
