This month we all celebrated the 1 year anniversary of becoming Synergy Health and Fitness. Thanks again for your continued support as a gym member and for helping celebrate the great gym and members we have!

We celebrated in Members Appreciation week with Results HQ games, Zumba and Salsa classes and the daily exercisers draw for the Rebel Sports Voucher!

Our ‘jackpotting’ Rebel Sport voucher promotion winners were,

  1. Gary Kenny  – $100 Rebel Sports Voucher
  2. Kristen Mildren – $50 Rebel Sports Voucher
  3. Meraz Parker-Potoi – $100 Rebel Sports Voucher

All members that exercised during the week were also in the Major Prize Pool draw for a voucher entitling a nights accommodation and breakfast for two. Gary Kenny was the winner of the Major Prize.

Results HQ Games

Thursday lunchtime we held our Bi-Annual Results HQ Games. We had 14 gym members and staff keen to get their sweat on!
Two teams of 7 (Sarah’s vs Straddy’s Team) faced off and were given the challenge to complete 200/300/400/500/600 reps of 5 different exercises in the quickest time.

The exercises were the following:

  • Med Ball Squats
  • Prone Walks
  • Barbell Upright Rows
  • Treadmills
  • Med Ball Burpees

There was a twist however…. The 5 exercises were written on cards facing down so you couldn’t read the exercises, with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 written on the back of each card. Each team had to assign a number next to the reps of 200/300/400/500/600. Once the teams had assigned the numbers to a rep range, the cards were flipped over and the exercises were revealed.

The luck was on the side of Sarah’s team!

Congratulations to Sarah’s team who took out the event! Everyone did a great job today and had fun (I think) whilst working out!

Upcoming Events:

The Amazing Race – (RHQ)  25th November at 6pm.

Our next social Results HQ event will be The Amazing Race. RHQ member Mary has created this race!! Three teams will compete taking on the streets of Wellington. If you are a Results HQ member please register your interest by emailing sarah@synergyfitness.co.nz or have a chat to her in the gym. After the race, those who are keen will go out for some refreshments!

Outdoor Boot Camp!

Liz will be taking a 4 week Outdoor Boot Camp from 21st November – 15th December. The session times will be Monday and Thursday 12–12:40pm and it is $129.  We need a minimum of 6 people, so grab a friend and sign up now by emailing sarah@synergyfitness.co.nz
